LoRa Communication Using TVWS Frequencies: Range and Data Rate

Low power wide area network (LPWAN) is a wireless communication technology that offers large coverage, low data rates, and consumption, making it suitable choice for the growing Internet of Things machine-to-machine applications. Long range (LoRa), an LPWAN technology, has recently been used in industrial, scientific medical (ISM) band various low-power The coverage rate supported by these devices ISM well-studied literature. In this paper, we study usage TV white spaces (TVWS) LoRa transmissions to address spectrum demand. Additionally, TVWS-based LoRa, different transmission parameter values using path-loss models scenarios such as free space, outdoor indoor are investigated. A model also proposed explored, evaluations show TVWS longer range. This would be useful efficient planning system design LPWANs.
